Lakeland woman threatened to shoot up school on Facebook, PCSO says
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Lakeland woman was accused of threatening a school shooting on Tuesday.
Cecelia Guerrero, 27, posted concerning messages on her Facebook account, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).
PCSO said a concerned citizen pointed deputies toward the messages, which said:
“I’M F—– UP IN THE HEAD, I MIGHT JUST PULL UP AND SHOOT UP THE SCHOOL”
“BTDUBS! THIS IS A F—— JOKE NOT A D— SO NO ONE BETTER TAKE IT HARD! AND IF YA DO JUST KNOW YA MOM’S A HOE”
Deputies stopped by Guerrero’s home to question her about the posts. She denied making the post and claimed she did not have a Facebook account.
Guerrero allowed PCSO to search her phone to find evidence of the post. According to deputies, they found a screenshot of the threats in her photo gallery.
“(Guerrero) spontaneously stated she did not know such a post or comment on Facebook would create such a problem,” PCSO wrote in their arrest report. “(Guerrero) stated she didn’t think that it was that big of a deal.”
She told deputies she doesn’t even own a gun.
Guerrero was charged with written threat to conduct a mass shooting or terrorist act. She is due in court for her first appearance on Friday.
