Tucked in the trees at the edge of Lake Crescent, the charming Lake Crescent Lodge, built in 1915, features a fine dining restaurant, a glassed-in porch and an extremely cozy lobby, complete with a roaring fireplace and trophy elk on the walls. You can also rent kayaks and canoes and slide into the water from a pier right out front. Lodging options include small rooms inside the lodge, cabins and simple rooms in several standalone outbuildings. It's open May through December.

At the Lake Crescent Lodge’s dining room, you can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner from April 29 through Jan. 1. Featuring Pacific Northwest fare, you’ll find starters like Dungeness crab dip and mains like local grilled king salmon, Cajun seafood and grits and a harvest salad make with local produce. Don’t miss sipping a glass of wine from the award-winning Pacific Northwest wine regions.

You don’t need reservations for breakfast and lunch, but reservations are recommended for dinner. Call 360-928-3211 to reserve a table for dinner in advance.
