Lafayette Powerball player wins $50,000
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in Tuesday’s drawing, but one player in Acadiana had a nice consolation prize.
According to the Louisiana Lottery, a ticket sold in Lafayette won $50,000. The ticket, which matched four of the five numbers drawn plus the Powerball number, was sold at the Albertson’s store at 4400 Ambassador Caffery Parkway.
The winning numbers from the Monday, March 25 drawing are 7, 11, 19, 53 and 68. The Powerball was 23. The Power Play multiplier was 2.

While no one won the Powerball jackpot, two winners, one in Florida and one in New York, matched the five white balls to win $1 million each.
The overall odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
