KRQE Cares hosting last Shoes for Kids phone bank of the month
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – KRQE Cares is holding its last fundraising event of the month with a phone bank on Tuesday, April 30 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. KRQE Cares has a mission to positively impact children in low-income families throughout the state of New Mexico.
Shoes for Kids is the largest KRQE Cares initiative, which helps children in Title I schools receive a new pair of shoes. Along with a new pair of shoes, children are provided with a snack, book, dental supplies and socks. To help support Shoes for Kids you can donate online at any time or call the phone bank at 1-877-715-7400.
Over 29,000 pairs of shoes have been put on children in need since 2015. This program is in partnership with the Assistance League of ABQ, a non-profit 501c organization that serves the Albuquerque area. All donations are directly given to the Assistance League of ABQ for the purchase of shoes and socks that go to the kids.
