Social media alert: Kristen Stewart opened up about the time Donald Trump got a little too involved in her personal life on Twitter, and it’s so strange.

On Friday, Stewart promoted her new film, Come Swim, at the Sundance Film Festival and things became very political. Although the Cafe Society star was there to talk about the short film, which is also her directorial debut, it was Trump’s inauguration. So she shared a story about the newly sworn in president.

What was this personal story?

It dealt with Trump becoming involved in Stewart’s personal life via Twitter and the actress still isn’t over the incident.

“He was mad at me a couple of years ago, really obsessed with me a couple of years ago, which is f**king crazy,” Stewart told Variety about the tweets that focused on her past relationships.

Trump’s tweets from 2012 we directed at her and her ex-boyfriend and they still confuse Stewart.

“Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart,” one of the tweets read. “She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again — just watch. He can do much better!”

She explains, “At that point, he was just like, a reality star. I had no reference. It wasn’t like really a thing,” the 26-year-old actress said about the tweets. “But in retrospect, somebody reminded me of that and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re right!'”

She even joked that Trump would probably comment on the fact that she’s bringing the incident back up.

Even though Stewart was at Sundance and unable to walk in the Women’s March on Washington, she did have a message for young women.

“Ladies, stand up for yourself,” she said.

She encouraged people to be actively be a part in following through on their belief systems. But, diplomatically, made it clear she didn’t want to force people to feel a certain way.

We’re so glad the actress shared her advice — and strange story — with women everywhere.
