Knoxville-Deerfield FD asking for furniture donations
KNOXVILLE, Pa. (WETM) — The Knoxville-Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department is asking the public to consider donating old furniture to help train fire fighters.
The Knoxville-Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department is planning to do multiple search training drills and needs furniture items to conduct them. The department is asking people to consider donating the following unwanted items:
Bed frames (any kind)
Mattresses
Bunk Beds
Baby Cribs
Sofas/couches
Recliners/chairs
End tables/night stands
Other household furniture
Those who have items that they think the fire department may be interested in should message its Facebook page or text 570-418-0783, and someone from the department will respond as soon as possible.
The fire department will pick up items that are located within a reasonable distance of the station.
