I Kissed A Boy star Ollie King releases break-up song

I Kissed A Boy star Ollie King has teamed up with a former Eurovision hopeful to create break-up anthem 'In Your Head'.

After capturing the hearts of fans on Dannii Minogue's BBC3 reality dating series, King has collaborated with the UK's 2014 Eurovision runner-up Roubix to create the song, which is available to listen to here.

The disco-pop track references King's break-up with I Kissed A Boy co-star Dan Glendinning, following their separation last year.

Speaking about the track, King said: "The lyrics are all about getting over an ex who is stuck 'in your head'. But it's not a sad song, it's playful and fun and full of love.

He continued: "'In Your Head' is all about moving on and celebrating your authentic self. What better way to do that than with a total banger you can scream along to with your mates at Pride? I can't wait to experience that energy live with crowds all over Europe."

Following the song's release, King and Roubix will tour across various 2024 Pride festivals throughout the UK and Europe.

King found fame on BBC3's debut season of I Kissed a Boy, ultimately making it to the final after finding romance with Glendinning – however, the pair would later go their separate ways in September 2023, three months after the show's finale aired.

Confirming the break-up news in a statement on Instagram, King wrote on his Stories: "Folks, it feels weird to be making a 'public' announcement about something so personal but since many of you have been on the journey and supported us since day one, I want to let you know that Dan and I aren't together anymore.

"We are still mates and there's no bad blood, we'll still be hanging out etc. We both want to make forward and will massively appreciate you respecting that this is a vulnerable thing for us to share," he continued.

"Thank you for supporting us so much through this crazy last year."

I Kissed a Boy airs on BBC Three and streams on BBC iPlayer.
