Kilgore Area Chamber of Commerce to host candidate forum

KILGORE, Texas (KETK) — The Kilgore Area Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum on April 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.

According to a release, the chamber of commerce will host a candidates forum for the City of Kilgore and Kilgore ISD at Kilgore First Baptist Church, 501 E. North St. with Mark Robinson as moderator.

Candidates for the Kilgore City Council:

  • Mayor Pro Tem and Place 1 Councilmember Merlyn Holmes

  • Place 1 challenger Randy Renshaw

  • Place 2 Councilmember Alan VanDoren

  • Place 2 challenger Craig Stark

  • Place 3 Councilmember Missy Merritt

  • Place 3 challenger Daniel Gantt

Candidates who confirmed their attendance include Holmes, Merritt, Renshaw and Gantt. Reggie Jones and Jessica Holmes who are running for the KISD board have also reportedly confirmed their attendance.
