Kendall Jenner's June love triangle with Anwar Hadid and NBA player Ben Simmons has ended with Simmons emerging as much more of a victor than anyone expected, given Jenner's alleged desire to stay single this summer. He kissed Jenner in public yesterday and is now living with her, according to TMZ, in a $25,000-a-month rental house. Wild, fast, but not the quickest young celeb love has progressed this summer!

The public kiss happened yesterday: Jenner was photographed giving Simmons what the photo agency described as a "welcome back kiss" after their brief separation at a Los Angeles gas station. Simmons leaned into the car to receive it, but Jenner was photographed before out of the car with Simmons, so it was clearly her in there smooching. This photographed PDA is pretty big, as Jenner has never really kissed a love interest in front of photographers, save Anwar Hadid during that CFDA after party earlier this month. That was a two-hour makeout, though their union seemingly fizzled out fast (at least publicly) as Hadid was photographed kissing another model two weeks later.

While it's unclear when exactly Simmons and Jenner moved in together, that's been happening longer than their showing public PDA. TMZ reports via multiple sources that the two have been sharing a 5-bedroom, 6-bath house near Los Angeles' The Grove and Fairfax District. It's not known whose name is on the several-month lease, though it may more likely be Jenner's. Simmons plays basketball for the Philadelphia 76ers and is off-season right now. And Jenner, according to TMZ, recently bought a different house in Beverly Hills and is "putting her own touches" on it, hence the temporary second home during construction.

Jenner at this point has not confirmed she's dating anyone, nor have sources connected to the family to any major, reputable tabloid. Recently, a source told People she was into the idea of spending her summer unattached. “Kendall is having fun. She doesn’t want a serious relationship and is just enjoying being single," the source said in the report published June 12. "She feels that whenever she has been serious about guys in the past, it’s kind of a mess and doesn’t work out. She invested time in the relationship with Blake Griffin. She isn’t planning on doing the same right now."

So the living together could really just be a thing of convenience: Simmons and Jenner like each other enough and both need a place to temporarily stay-Simmons for the off-season before he goes back east; Jenner before she moves into the new, fixed house she bought. It really does explain their recent grocery-store date though. Plus there's five bedrooms in there, so it's not like they're forced to share one unless they want to.

Jenner herself told Harper's Bazaar last year that she wouldn't be saying anything about her love life publicly unless she is with someone she's super, engagement-level serious about. "I'm not marrying anyone," she said. "I'm not engaged. There's nothing long-term or serious like that in my life. If I'm not fully, fully in it with someone, why would I make it public to everyone else? If I don't even know what it is, why would I let the world know?"
