KCPD investigating life-threatening shooting near Northland mall

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a life-threatening shooting that happened in the Northland Tuesday night.

KCPD said the shooting took place around 10:20 p.m. at Northwest Barry Road and North Boardwalk Avenue, near the Barrywoods Crossing and Shops at Boardwalk shopping malls.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was then taken to a hospital in critical/life-threatening condition.

According to KCPD, this is an active and ongoing investigation.
