Katie Holmes has officially proven herself to be the coolest mom ever.

While out running errands in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the Dawson's Creek star took the jeans-and-a-T-shirt look to the next level, thanks to a pair of chic Mary Janes with a midi heel. Holmes's causal look featured a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans, a plain white tee, and the aforementioned Mary Janes in black with a brown heel.

The mom-of-one left Whole Foods carrying a grocery bag in one hand and her red structured purse in the other, with her hair up in a high, messy bun, which she later took down for an Instagram selfie, posted the same day. "Happy Tuesday!" she captioned the photo along with the hashtags, "#sunshine #dream #gratitude #alterna."
