Katie Holmes Debuts a Cool New Look, Just in Time for Labor Day
Katie Holmes spent much of the summer in New York City, sporting a classic, all-American wardrobe that channeled a modern day Jackie O. The actress stepped out in polished denim pencil skirts with Chanel sandals, boyfriend fit jeans with Chloé’s ballet skimmers, but yesterday while meeting up with reported boyfriend Jamie Foxx, Holmes swapped out the flowing peasant tops, cropped culottes, and fancy flats for a more tailored approach to casual daytime dressing rooted in cool, easy separates.
Holmes topped her look with a modern riff on the cami top and henley that combined elements of both into one neat piece. The blush color lent a feminine slant that was amped up by bows on each shoulder.
True blue jeans were a refined alternative to the slouchy styles typically sported by the actress and the cropped length provided an elongating effect. As for accessories, Holmes kept things simple with Céline’s Belt Bag, while multi-strap, optic white kicks grounded the look with a fresh step into a new season.
