Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson’s mother, is not struggling one bit when it comes to putting money in her pockets. At least that is what MJ’s estate is claiming.

If you weren’t aware Mrs. Jackson has been in a heated legal war with her son’s estate over the sale of MJ’s music assets for nearly half a billion dollars. Although she failed in her attempt to stop the sale from going through, she has since decided to appeal the ruling.

In the process, she has allegedly amassed a large amount of attorney’s fees.

On Wednesday, the King of Pop’s estate filed new legal documents over the cost of her attorney’s fees, which she is allegedly trying to get the estate to pay for even though they say she has millions of dollars tucked away, according to TMZ.

The estate says that since MJ died in 2009, Katherine has received more than $55 million in the last 15 years!

That’s larger than many NFL or NBA contracts.

MJ’s estate says that a majority of that money comes from a monthly allowance that the estate gives to her, which equates to about $160,000 a month. That, in conjunction with other cash payments the estate claims to have paid her, should equal $33 million, according to the newly filed legal documents.

Furthermore, the estate says that Mrs. Jackson lives in luxury because of the money they have given her. Specifically, MJ’s estate alleges that they have allocated more than $15 million in an attempt to buy and improve her mansion, while also paying for a private chef, gardener, and security.

The Estate is attempting to improve their case that Katherine Jackson can easily afford to pay for her own attorney’s fees, as she continues to appeal the sale of her son’s music assets, which were sold to Sony Music Group for $600 million.

Michael Jackson’s youngest son, Bigi, was originally involved in the legal fight with her grandmother. But shockingly, he has recently turned against her, taking legal action against his grandmother to block her from obtaining money from the estate to pay her legal fees, according to TMZ.
