The Duchess of Cambridge proved she's just like us during a royal visit on Tuesday, when she laughed off a wardrobe malfunction that we've all experienced at one point or another.

As Kate, who is expecting her third child in April, arrived at the new Action on Addiction center in Essex, a crowd of well-wishers was there to see her greet members of staff outside.

But, not everything went quite to plan...

While the Duchess looked effortlessly stylish in her trusty blue coat by Goat - which she has worn on several occasions since announcing her pregnancy - paired with sheer black tights and simple black courts, her arrival was momentarily halted after she caught her heel in the grate of a drain just outside the building.

Fortunately, the Duchess didn't lose her footing and, ever graceful under pressure, Kate simply laughed off the common fashion fail like a consummate pro.

To be honest, Kate - we're just impressed that you're able to wear heels at all while seven months pregnant!

As patron of the Action on Addiction charity, Kate later revealed that it holds "a very special place" for her and praised its work.

She said, "It seems like a long time ago since I first got involved with Action on Addiction. I think it's about six years ago, but they have a very special place for me and were really the starting of my learning particularly with now the development into mental health.

"So you are very special to me, it's great to be here and actually seeing the development of where the charity's gone in the years gone past."
