Kansas woman seriously injured in Tuesday morning crash

THOMAS COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A woman from Kansas was seriously injured in a crash Tuesday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 9:44 a.m., a 70-year-old woman from Colby was driving a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited south on County Road 15, approaching County Road K.

At the same time, a 39-year-old man from Wray, Colorado, was driving a 1996 Kenworth semi-trailer west on County Road K, approaching County Road 15.

As the two vehicles entered the intersection, the driver of the Ram hit the Kenworth on the passenger side. Both vehicles continued west through the intersection.

The Kenworth jackknifed and came to a stop just west of the intersection. The Ram came to a stop against the passenger side of the Kenworth.

The driver of Kenworth had no apparent injuries. The driver of the Ram had suspected serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
