Kansas school district offers free lunches this summer

JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – A school district based out of Junction City is offering students free food for lunch during the month of June this year.

Geary County Schools, USD 475, announced it will be serving free lunches to students between the ages of 1 and 18 starting on Monday, June 3 and ending on Friday, June 28. This offer is available at Milford Elementary, Seitz Elementary and Lincoln Elementary.

USD 475 spokesman Matthew Hoover says the district will offer “grab and go heat and eat” food starting Monday, July 1 and running through Friday, July 19. Students will be able to pick these up from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Seitz Elementary and Lincoln Elementary. Food will not be served on Wednesday, June 19 along with July 4-5.
