A 34-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with three counts of possession of drugs and illegal use of drug paraphernalia, according to the Akron Police Department.

An officer was in the process of conducting a traffic stop at around 2:25 p.m. at the intersection of Bank and Williams Street when they grew suspicions that drugs were in the vehicle. Police said the officer then deployed her K9 partner, Jaro, who was guided around the vehicle's exterior to sniff the air. The K9 partner alerted the officer to a purse inside the vehicle, which contained an assortment of drugs.

Police recovered 22 grams of methamphetamines, 7 grams of hashish, a bottle of THC Oil, more than two dozen Alprazolam pills, and drug paraphernalia during the search.
