K-9 ‘Hutch’ finds 280 pounds of meth in Madera County

MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – According to the California Highway Patrol in Madera, a traffic stop resulted in a K9 officer “Hutch” seizing over 280 pounds of methamphetamine.

The traffic stop occurred off Highway 99 in Madera County, officials say.

The street value of the drugs is estimated by officials to be $2.5 million.

No names have been released at this time by officials, but officials did name their K9 officer “Hutch” for making significant contributions to the arrest.
