Juvenile arrested for vehicle burglaries in Madera County, officials say

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A juvenile was arrested after officials recovered stolen property related to vehicle burglaries in the area of the subdivisions of Coarsegold, Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.

Officials say there have been numerous reports of vehicle burglaries within the Indian Lakes and Yosemite Lakes subdivisions of Coarsegold in the past several weeks.

Over that period, a vehicle was reported as stolen from a nearby residence, officials said.

On April 23, deputies with the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a residence in the Indian Lakes area, according to officials. Stolen property related to the vehicle burglaries was recovered and a juvenile was taken into custody.

Officials say additionally, deputies located the stolen vehicle, a Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack at a different location in Coarsegold.

The investigation is still ongoing.
