Justin Theroux Comments on Brangelina

Business Insider has blessed the world with the first-ever interview of Justin Theroux commenting on the Brangelina divorce. It was published Tuesday, which also happens to be the one-week anniversary of arguably the biggest celebrity news of 2016 (sorry, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift). For those looking for drama, Justin offered none. But he did have these nice words about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s split: “As a child of divorce all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children and that’s all you can really say. It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time, that’s horrible.” He’s not kidding about the “anything else.” The past seven days have been anything but business as usual, from the New York Post’s stunning cover of an imagined Jennifer Aniston reaction to the reported investigations surrounding a private flight the Jolie-Pitts took earlier this month. There’s also the all-important question of how the Jolie-Pitts will divide their reported $500 million.

Justin says that throwing his wife into the mix is “nonsense” considering what’s happening outside of Hollywood. “There’s an endless appetite for trash, apparently, though everyone would say that they don’t have that appetite,” he tells Business Insider. “But I think a lot of people do because people buy it. But there are bigger things to bitch about. It’s shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world.”

Justin is currently promoting his new film The Girl on the Train, which opens Oct. 7. This probably means the press will try to get him to talk about Brangelina some more. Good luck to everyone involved.
