Towarnyckyj attempted to pull over a vehicle that had been reported stolen when Dubose allegedly fired shots at him, according to past reports.

That’s when Towarnyckyj shot back, which led to the suspect driving away and crashing farther down the road, according to officials.

Dubose then allegedly ran from the scene.

Dubose was arrested at the intersection of Girby Road and Lloyds Lane later that night.

He was charged with attempted murder and receiving stolen property.
