Julia Louis-Dreyfus Shares a Powerful Update on Her Battle With Breast Cancer

In September, Julia Louis-Dreyfus revealed that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer, announcing the news on Twitter.

"1 in 8 women get breast cancer," she wrote. "Today, I'm the one."

Now, almost a month after her diagnosis, the actress posted an update about her treatment to Instagram. She reported that she's finished her second round of chemotherapy, writing in the caption, "We are NOT f***ing around here," before quoting an optimistic Katy Perry song.

Chemo #2: finito. We are NOT fucking around here. “I’ve got the eye of the tiger. The Fighter dancing through the fire cuz I am a champion and your’re going to hear me ROAR.” Thanks to @mrtonyhale & @timothycsimons & @katyperry for their hilarious and loving inspiration.

She also thanked her fellow costars on Veep, Timothy Simons and Tony Hale, for their "their hilarious and loving inspiration."

It's safe to say that Julia's diagnosis hasn't affected her sense of humor-evidenced by her oversized aviators and a drawn-on mustache in the photo.
