Jude Law is going to pick J.K. Rowling’s brain all about Dumbledore, and we’re low-key jealous

We’re still reeling over the news that Jude Law is going to play young Albus Dumbledore, and now we’re spinning again because Jude Law apparently is super looking forward to meeting J.K. Rowling. We don’t blame him, since he now has a valid reason to spend some quality time with the queen herself, and any mere mortal would be thrilled at such an opportunity. We also love this because we feel like we’re going to get the best version of Jude Law’s Dumbledore with Law and Rowling sitting down and talking through the character. Albus Dumbledore is such a beloved fictional character, and we’re sure Jude Law is feeling the pressure of such a role. But we’re certain he’s up for it.

While attending the press night for a play he’s been in, Jude Law was asked about where he was planning to start when it comes to building this role:

“My first port of call I hope is to meet J.K. Rowling and to talk exactly about that and who he is and who she wants him to be and learn a little bit more about her vision of this great man as a young man,” he told BBC London.

Ummmm, in addition to being super excited about Jude Law’s take on Dumbledore, we’re SUPER jealous of anybody who gets to use “talk” and “J.K. Rowling” in the same sentence with actual, executable intent. But regardless of our extreeeeeme jealousy, we’re pretty excited to see Jude Law take on the role of young Dumbledore under J.K. Rowling’s brilliant guidance.
