Joy Behar had an on-air Oprah moment when she found out about Michael Flynn pleading guilty

Today, Joy Behar and The View proved that live TV still has its moments.

After returning from a commercial break, a producer interrupted Behar’s teleprompter read with a breaking news note. The startled host read it with increasing excitement: “Michael Flynn promised full cooperation to the Mueller team and is prepared to testify that as a candidate, Donald Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians! Yes!”

Afterwards, she threw the paper in the air with glee:

The studio audience roared its support, leading co-host Meghan McCain to compare it to Oprah’s notorious giveaways. McCain said, “This is like, ‘You get a car, you get a car, you get a car!'” But Behar riffed on that, saying instead it was more like, “He goes to jail, he goes to jail, he goes to jail! Lock him up!”

McCain, the conservative voice of The View, let Behar have her celebratory moment. She said, “Take this moment Joy, I give it to you … I concede to you that this is a good moment for you and a good moment for Democrats.”
