Jonesboro police investigating vandalism at high school, person arrested

JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro police said Friday that one person was arrested in connection to what officers believe was a senior prank at Jonesboro High School.

According to the Jonesboro Police Department, an officer noticed a group of people in the school’s parking lot shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday night.

Police said that they found eggs and debris outside of the school and more damage throughout the hallways.

Officers said that one person was arrested in connection with the incident and is facing charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental operations, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.

Authorities said that 13 adults and four juveniles were cited and released.

The police department said that detectives will work with the Jonesboro School District to investigate the incident.
