LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Former UW La Crosse Chancellor, Joe Gow, is fighting to keep his faculty post at the university. Gow was fired from his job as chancellor in December after the Board of Regents learned he was appearing in pornographic videos. Now, UWL’s top official has taken the first step towards removing him as a faculty member.

Gow says Interim Chancellor Betsy Morgan has filed 3 charges against him, accusing him of unethical conduct, failing to cooperate with an investigation, and using UW La Crosse computers to produce pornographic materials. Gow denied using any UW-owned equipment or state dollars to produce porn but says he refused to speak to an outside law firm investigating the matter without an attorney. UW La Crosse has not commented or shared further details of the charges.
