President Joe Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, have reportedly accepted CNN's invitation to debate each other ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Biden confirmed this on his page on X (formerly Twitter), noting that he is ready to take on Trump "Anywhere, Anytime."

The politicians' debate is expected to be quite the spectacle due to their constant digs at each other during rallies and on social media. Trump has attacked Biden's leadership and mental acuity on multiple occasions, and Biden has also criticized Trump for his previous run as US President.

The debate between Trump and Biden has been scheduled for next month. Both political figures are ready to face off in a historic showdown.

Taking to X, Biden wrote of the debate, "I've received and accepted an invitation from @CNN for a debate on June 27th. Over to you, Donald. As you said: anywhere, any time, any place."

Not one to back down from a challenge, Trump confirmed to CNN's Kaitlan Collins: "The answer is yes, I will accept."

Both Biden and Trump have made it very clear in past months that they had no problem debating each other before the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

In a video from the president, he directly challenged Trump about a debate, noting that the 77-year-old lost to him twice in 2020.

"Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. Since then he hasn't shown up for a debate. Now he's acting like he wants to debate me again," Biden said.

"Well, make my day, pal, I'll even do it twice. So let's pick the dates, Donald – I hear you're free on Wednesdays," the president added,  alluding to Trump's ongoing criminal trial.

Biden wrote: "I've also received and accepted an invitation to a debate hosted by ABC on Tuesday, September 10th. Trump says he'll arrange his own transportation. I'll bring my plane, too. I plan on keeping it for another four years."

A third person noted, "I just love Dark Brandon."

Some other X users claimed the president was afraid to debate in front of a live audience, adding that Biden had ulterior motives for accepting CNN and ABC's invites.

"You are now demanding that there be no audience at the debates. And this is after you have hand-picked the debate moderators. You aren't fit to be president," one person commented.

Another person asked, "Why no Fox News? Too worried they won't protect you with softball questions?"

The billionaire mogul recently attacked Biden, branding him a leader who fails to deliver on his promises.

Trump criticized the president's communication skills: "He's a confused man. He can't put two sentences together. He doesn't have a clue. He doesn't know where he is. He doesn't know he's alive and he's our president."

Urging action, Trump, who is currently on trial, declared, "We have to end it. November 5th.”

In another post, the billionaire mogul highlighted Biden's response to the Charlottesville riots, asserting that Biden's narrative surrounding his White House run is misleading.

"Crooked Joe Biden would say constantly that he ran because of Charlottesville. We know that's not true," he wrote, per RadarOnline.

He went on to compare Charlottesville with ongoing protests and riots, adding: "And in any case, he's done a really terrible job because Charlottesville is like a peanut compared to the riots and anti-Israel protests that are happening all over our country right now."
