CNN has selected anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash to moderate the first presidential debate of the 2024 cycle between President Biden and former President Trump.

The June 27 debate, which will be broadcast live, will take place at CNN’s Atlanta studios and won’t feature a studio audience.

CNN’s is the first of two debates Biden and Trump agreed to Wednesday, with a second planned for September, hosted by ABC.

ABC has yet to announce moderators for the September debate.

Tapper hosts “The Lead” on CNN on weekdays and has become known for his pointed questioning of lawmakers, politicians and other public figures during his more than a decade on the network’s air. He also hosts CNN’s Sunday public affairs show “State of the Union.”

Bash is herself a fixture on CNN, currently hosting “Inside Politics” and a regular contributor to the network’s election night and other major political event coverage.

Tapper and Bash were co-moderators of a GOP presidential debate earlier this year.
