Jackie Maloney elected Jefferson Parish 24th Judicial District Judge

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Voters elected Jackie Maloney as the Jefferson Parish 24th Judicial District Judge during the April 27, 2024, election.

Republican Maloney ran against Republican Lindsey Valenti for the position.

According to her campaign website, Maloney is a Metairie native with 25 years of litigation experience and 14 years as a felony trial attorney.

Throughout her career, her website states Maloney has served as a felony trial attorney at the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office and the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office.

Her campaign website also states she opened her own law firm, Law Offices of Jacqueline F. Maloney, LLC, in 2012.

According to her campaign website, Valenti graduated from Mount Carmel Academy in 2003 and studied law at the Loyola University College of Law.

Throughout her career, Valenti has assisted trial counsel at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office and worked as an attorney and litigation attorney for Edward J. Womac, Jr. & Associates, LLC, and Keller & Trahant, LLC.

Her campaign website also states she served as a law clerk at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office.
