Investigation showed Percocet from Michigan bring brought to Crawford County

The Crawford County Sheriff's Office and METRICH Enforcement Unit arrested two people while executing narcotics search warrant at 519 W. Charles St., Bucyrus.

Two people were arrested and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center. One of the people arrested was the target of the investigation for suspicion of trafficking in Percocet, according to a release from the Sheriff's Office.

The person is facing charges pf drug possession and trafficking in drugs, along other drug related charges.

Reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor's Office for consideration of additional charges.

Deputies seized about 90 Percocet pills, currency, firearms, marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the residence, according to the release.

The search warrant came at the conclusion of a multi-month investigation into illegal Percocet pills being obtained from Michigan and brought to Crawford County, sold and used from the Charles Street property, along with other locations, according to the release.

METRICH is a decentralized drug task force, and there are 10 counties that participate in the program. Crawford County law enforcement has been involved with METRICH since the late 1980s, according to Sheriff Scott Kent.
