Investigation continues after man allegedly fatally shoots wife

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Mesilla Marshal’s Office says it continues to investigate a murder that happened on Monday, April 1 in Mesilla.

As we have previously reported, Oscar Renee Sandoval, 59, shot and killed his wife Sheireen Aljibury, 39, on University Avenue that Monday, according to court documents.

Mesilla Marshal Sgt. Detective/CSI Danny Garcia and other crime scene investigators will be dressed in white PPE suits on Friday, April 5 as they continue reconstructing the crime scene.

The Mesilla Marshal’s Office says eastbound and westbound streets on University Avenue will be blocked off.

Motorists are asked to choose an alternate route if they use University Avenue.
