Injury crash involving big rig on I-80 in Crockett

(KRON) — A big rig crashed along the Carquinez Strait Regional Shorelines on Wednesday, blocking multiple lanes on eastbound I-80, the Crockett-Carquinez Fire Department said. All lanes were reopened just before noon.

Fire crews arrived on the scene at approximately 11:24 a.m. and reported the big rig crash between Cummings Skyway and Pomona Avenue before an exit to Highway 4, blocking the right and center lanes, officials said.

Officials did not give specific details as to the severity or number of people injured.

As of noon, Crockett-Carquinez fire crews reported residual delays on EB80 West of San Pablo Ave in Crockett. As of 12:02 p.m., all lanes were open.
