SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — As The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park gears up for the start of its official summer season on June 28, there is still time to get seats at one of the pre-season performances being offered next month.

On Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m., the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and conductor John Beal will be presenting the work of Grammy Award-winning composer John Williams in “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Live in Concert.”

The performance will pay homage to the 1981 Steven Spielberg and George Lucas film which featured Harrison Ford as the classic adventure hero, Indiana Jones, on his hunt for the Lost Ark of the Covenant.

Then, on Monday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m., Roger Daltrey and KT Tunstall will make their debut at The Rady Shell. Daltrey is best known as the founder and lead singer of the English rock band, The Who. Tunstall is most widely recognized as the singer behind the 2004 song, “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.”

If you are looking for a show that combines music and dance, four-time Emmy Award winner Derek Hough and a talented cast of professional dancers will grace the stage on Sunday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. as part of his Symphony of Dance tour. The live performance will feature a mix of dances ranging from ballroom and Latin to hip-hop and tap.
