Indiana Health Centers announces new staff hires

May 25—Indiana Health Centers, 1700 Dividend Drive, announced the additions of James Levenson, family nurse practitioner, and Daniel Mulawa, physician assistant, to their staff. Both are now accepting new patients.

Levenson received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2012 and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2018 from Chamberlain University. He is board certified as a family nurse practitioner. He served with distinction in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Before joining IHC, he worked as a traveling Nurse Practitioner specializing in occupational health, urgent care and family practice

Daniel Mulawa, PA-C, is originally from St. Louis, Mo. and moved to Indianapolis to attend Butler University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in 2021 and Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree in 2023. Before becoming a PA, he worked as an EMT-B in Columbus, Ohio, and as a personal assistant for those with special needs, helping them with their daily tasks and integrating within the community. Daniel is EMT-B, BLS, and ACLS certified.

Indiana Health Centers has provided primary health care to Cass County and the surrounding area since 1996.

Services provided include adult wellness care, preventative health services, chronic disease management, referral for specialty care, well child care checks, immunizations and flu shots, walk-in appointments, sick visits and labs. Medical interpreters are also onsite for those who need them.

Indiana Health Centers also provides a case manager, Rosa Perez, onsite to aid patients. The case manager is a certified navigator who can assist with applying for Medicaid and Marketplace assistance. The case manager can also assist with referrals for housing, food, medications, transportation and more.
