IDEA Public Schools welcome new families with event

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – IDEA Public Schools will host the “Welcome to IDEA” event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at several of its campuses.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is designed for families interested in learning more about IDEA or applying for the 2024-2025 academic school year, according to a press release sent by IDEA Public Schools.

“Serving grades K-12, IDEA has a limited number of open seats for the upcoming school year. This event provides a unique opportunity for families to explore what IDEA has to offer, including our rigorous academic programs, extracurricular activities, and supportive school community,” read the press release.

The event will feature the following:

  • Cheerleaders and music

  • Snacks and school menu previews by the Child Nutrition Program

  • T-shirt giveaways for families with completed registrations

  • An opportunity to meet the principal, staff members and students representing various clubs and organizations at our schools.

Participating campuses include:

  • IDEA Horizon Vista – 201 Horizon Crossing St.

  • IDEA Mesa Hills – 405 Wallenberg Dr.

  • IDEA Mesquite Hills – 11881 Dyer St.

  • IDEA Rio Vista – 210 N Rio Vista Rd.
