Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado’s monthly meeting to feature Bailey Thiry

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado’s next monthly meeting is happening Tuesday, May 13, at Reclaiming Hope. These meetings are free and open to the public.

The meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 5:45 p.m. at 615 Wooten Road, Suite 140 in Colorado Springs.

This month features Bailey Thiry, the Human Trafficking Program Manager at TESSA of Colorado Springs. Thiry is very passionate about serving survivors of sex and labor trafficking and educating the public about the topic.

“It’s a huge problem in our area, unfortunately, with El Paso County being straight on the highway as well as a ton of different people coming here all the time, it is an ever-present problem,” said Thiry.

Thiry joined FOX21 Morning News, on Monday, May 13, to talk about what she will be discussing at the upcoming meeting.

“I’ll be talking about TESSA’s programming, what our program over at TESSA does, in terms of outreach to the community and serving survivors directly. I [also] facilitate the El Paso County Human Trafficking Coalition, which is a group of different service providers who are actively working to fight this problem,” said Thiry.
