Human arm found on Waukegan Municipal Beach

WAUKEGAN, Ill. — A human arm was found Saturday night on a beach in Waukegan, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.

The arm was found around 8:30 p.m. at the Waukegan Municipal Beach off East Sea Horse Drive.

According to the coroner’s office, the right human arm was found and was mostly intact.

It is believed to be the arm of a female but the coroner’s office said further examination is needed to determine the gender and age range.

The coroner’s office said they are working closely with a police department in a neighboring state on an ongoing investigation. They didn’t realize which agency, state or more details about the investigation.

DNA samples are being submitted to the agency’s crime lab to help in the identification of the arm and investigation.
