House fire under control in Denver’s Northeast Park Hill neighborhood

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver Fire responded to a large blaze at a home in the Northeast Park Hill neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

Just before 3:30 a.m., the Denver Fire Department tweeted about a fire at a single-story multi-residence near 35th Avenue and Jasmine Street. The home is east of Skyland Park.

Shortly after arriving, crews were able to get water on the flames and get the fire under control. Several fire engines responded to the scene, and firefighters had to attack the flames from the roof.

Crews continued to search the home and ensure all the hot spots had been extinguished.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

FOX31’s Courtney Fromm was on scene and spoke with a man who was inside the home when the fire started.

The man said there was a lot of smoke, but he quickly got out. He said he was the only one in the home at the time and no pets were involved.

Fire investigators are working to determine what led to the fire.
