New hotel & storage facility, 110-year-old business closes, pizza shop relocates

CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA (WHTM) — This week in the Midstate we saw a newly proposed hotel and storage facility, the closure of a long-time floral business that first opened in 1914, and a popular pizza shop that relocated.

WoodSpring Suites & storage facility:

  • This newly proposed hotel and storage facility recently received condition approval from the Board of Supervisors at Manheim Township. The new WoodSpring Suites hotel would be four stories tall and feature 122 rooms. The storage facility would be 25,000 square feet in size.

Plasterer’s Florist and Greenhouse:

  • This local floral business first opened its doors in the Midstate back in 1914. Recently, the owners decided to sell the property and close up shop to retire. In April, they will be holding a public auction of all their business contents.

Two Cousins Pizza:

  • This long-time pizza shop recently relocated to a new location at the Townsedge Shopping Village in Lancaster County. The new location is 3,200 square feet in size and now features a new bar area. This new location has the same hours of operation; they are open 7 days a week.
