Home catches fire in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A home was damaged after a fire broke out in the Oakton area on Wednesday morning.

Units responded to the 3000 block of Steven Martin Dr. at around 9:30 a.m. There, crews said they found a fire and large amounts of smoke coming from the home.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said all of the home’s occupants were accounted for.

The fire was under control by 11:15 a.m. One person was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No firefighters reported any injuries.
