Authorities are reportedly investigating a sexual assault allegation against the actor.
Home Alone actor Devin Ratray is reportedly under investigation by New York City police after alleged sexual assault allegations.
Last December, the actor was arrested and charged for an unrelated domestic violence incident involving his girlfriend at the time. He pleaded not guilty to the charges, and has an upcoming hearing set for October, according to CNN.
After the news broke around Ratray's arrest, another victim came forward about an alleged sexual assault that took place in the actor's New York City apartment back in 2017. According to the news outlet, the woman contacted prosecutors questioning why her case had not been pursued.
CNN reported that the case was not investigated at the time because authorities believed the woman did not want to move forward with charges against Ratray.
While speaking with CNN, the woman opened up about what happened the night the allegations took place. She also noted that she was "devastated" that the authorities dropped the ball on investigating the allegation when she originally came forward.
According to the woman, she had been friends with Ratray for 15 years, preceding the allegations that took place on the evening of September 21, 2017.
The woman told CNN that she met her brother, a friend, and Ratray at a bar before heading to the actor's apartment in NYC. At Ratray's apartment, she recalled him pouring drinks for his friends but seeming extremely adamant about giving her a specific glass to drink from. CNN reported that she believes she was drugged after being given the drink that he had prepared.
"I remember waking up and I couldn't move. I couldn't really open my eyes, but I could hear what was happening and I could feel what was happening. I knew that the other two people were gone and I was still on the couch," the woman told CNN.
As of August 24, 2022, Ratray has not been charged in connection with the sexual assault allegations.
When CNN reached out to New York City police, they declined to address anything relating to the case, however, PEOPLE reached out for a comment regarding the allegations and were given the following statement: "The NYPD takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors."
