Hollyoaks has revealed the outcome for Lucas Hay and Dillon Ray after a devastating twist at the village's annual Pride Festival.

Tuesday (April 30) night's first-look episode ended with the two teenagers lives' hanging in the balance after the 'conversion therapy' storyline involving Lucas and Carter Shepherd reached its climax.

During the episode, Dillon forced Lucas to admit that Carter had been trying to get him to undergo conversion therapy before confessing his love, causing Lucas to knock him unconscious in a tearful rage.

After realising what he'd done Lucas phoned an ambulance and then admitted he felt the same for Dillon. However when he didn't wake up Lucas began to self-harm and passed out just as Dillon was regaining consciousness - leaving the teenagers' fate unclear.

In scenes set to air next week, it is revealed that both Lucas and Dillon have survived their injuries and were subsequently rushed to Dee Valley Hospital.

However Carter's accomplice Declan is soon able to sneak into the hospital undetected and begins manipulating Lucas about his feelings, leaving him confused once again.

After Ste returns to check on his son Lucas tells him he misses Carter and wants to accept his help. Ste uses the moment to confide in his son about being groomed before far-right extremists before sharing his own experience coming out.

Lucas then reveals that Dillon confessed his love to him at The Folly, with Ste then promising his son that he'd support him every step of the way.

Later on, Lucas arrives home from hospital as Ste's court date regarding his trial Ella Richardson's arrives death.

Ste promises the family he'll get through the trial before urging Lucas to pay Dillon a visit while he works on mending his relationship with daughter Leah.

Following the conversation Lucas heads over to the Maalik's in order to apologise to Dillon.

Will the teenagers be able to make amends?
