Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Monday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Tuesday

Hollyoaks aired a huge twist for Abe and Marie Fielding as their storyline regarding the whereabouts of Arlo.

Abe has been harbouring a secret ever since his arrival in the village earlier this year, with mother Marie also having a barnstorming beginning to life in Hollyoaks.

Much of their time has been spent worrying about the whereabouts of Arlo, Marie’s son, following his disappearance, but it was revealed last week that Abe had orchestrated the entire situation.

Abe’s girlfriend Cleo began to grow suspicious after she saw Arlo’s teddy on his rucksack, with tonight’s (April 15) first-look episode beginning as their argument intensified.

Despite being interrupted by the impromptu arrival of Scott, Cleo still demanded answers from Abe, with their confrontation continuing through the village.

After hearing a banging noise at the centre, Abe admitted to Cleo that he had abducted Arlo to protect him from Marie, who has a history of alcoholism and drug addiction.

Cleo eventually checks on Arlo as she overhears Abe’s latest plan, which involves Arlo being ferried to France, and is left undecided as to whether to ring the police.

Cleo later meets with Joel and an intoxicated Marie, who was left disheartened following another hoax regarding a sighting of Arlo.

Seeing how Marie lashed out whilst in a drunken stupor, Cleo changed her mind and elected to help Abe in getting Arlo to France, though she still seemed torn on her decision.

As a drunken began crying outside Joel's house, the family were shocked as Arlo appeared, with Abe looking on in horror as he faced the prospect of explaining his actions...

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
