Donald Trump’s misogynistic and sexist statements have been a ceaseless and horrifying aspect of his Presidential campaign — whether he is talking about Megyn Kelly and “blood coming out of her wherever,” publicly calling Arianna Huffington, Carly Fiorina, and Heidi Klum unattractive, or threatening to punish women for exercising their reproductive rights. Not to mention all of the atrocious comments he has made throughout the decades.

Trump’s worldview is so terrifying that Republican women are organizing to get out the vote for Hillary, and the historymaking Democratic Presidential nominee has crafted campaign ads solely using Trump’s own language.

Today, Hillary Clinton’s campaign released its potentially most powerful ad yet — specifically focusing on the dangerous impact that Trump’s comments have on the body image of young girls.

The ad, called “Mirrors,” is striking in its simplicity. Young girls look in the mirror to recordings of Trump’s sexist rhetoric.

While teenagers brush their hair, we can hear Trump aggressively utter, “I’d look her right in that fat, ugly face of hers… She’s a slob.”

We next see the young women getting ready for school and taking selfies. Trump’s voice reverberates, “She ate like a pig.”

“A woman who’s flat-chested is very hard to be a 10… Does she have a good body? No. Does she have a fat [expletive]? Absolutely.”

It ends with a chilling exchange between Trump and an interviewer. The presidential candidate asks if he respects women. Trump responds with a laugh before saying, “Uh, I can’t say that either.”

The ad closes with text reading, “Is this the president we want for our daughters?”

An extremely important question, indeed.
