Law enforcement sources said officers went to arrest Hughes at his home Wednesday, but learned that he fled to Texas where U.S. Marshals caught him Friday afternoon.

There was concern he would try to cross into Mexico.

Sources said Hughes was placed on involuntary suspension before his arrest. His bio and photo are no longer up on Del Webb’s website.

Del Web Middle School is located in Henderson.

Hughes’s arrest marks the fifth time this week a Clark County School District staffer was locked up.

His arrest was the result of a new law that into effect in October that toughened the state’s previous luring of minors law.

According to his bio, Hughes entered the education field in 2002.
