Hannity declared a cease-fire on 'petty political disagreements.' He then ripped into McConnell.
Shortly after President Trump warned North Korea that any threats to the United States would be met with “fire and fury,” Fox News host and close Trump confidant Sean Hannity announced on Twitter a 12-hour moratorium on “all petty political disagreements.”
“In light of dangerous NKorea threat, I’m stopping all petty political disagreements for at least next 12 hours,” Hannity tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “Let’s see what others do.”
Hannity’s self-imposed cease-fire lasted less than eight hours.

Just after 11 p.m. ET, Hannity lashed out at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell over the Kentucky Republican’s public criticism of Trump’s legislative messaging.
On Monday, McConnell told a group of Rotary Club members in Florence, Ky., that the president has “excessive expectations about how quickly things happen in the democratic process” and lamented the “artificial deadlines” that Trump has imposed on him.

“No Senator,” Hannity tweeted, “YOU are a WEAK, SPINELESS leader who does not keep his word and you need to Retire!”
Hannity’s colleague, Lou Dobbs, said it’s time to “ditch Mitch.”

Hannity and Dobbs are both longtime friends of Trump and are often quick to attack the president’s critics while mimicking White House talking points.
Dan Scavino Jr., the White House social media director, echoed Hannity in a tweet Wednesday morning.

In his opening monologue on Fox News Tuesday night, Hannity addressed the escalating tensions between the United States and North Korea, blaming past presidents for the present crisis.
“Basically, the Clinton administration and Obama Administration ignored the problem,” Hannity said. “They kicked the can down the road.”
Earlier Tuesday, Hannity tweeted that while he “prefer(s) peace,” it is “ultimately” up to North Korea to “choose” a diplomatic end.
