Gulf Breeze Police arrest mom of teen accused of bringing gun to school

GULF BREEZE, Fla. (WKRG) — The mother of a Gulf Breeze High School student accused of bringing a gun on campus has been arrested in connection with the incident, according to Gulf Breeze Police.

A Gulf Breeze Police Department news release said the GBPD arrested Sarah Elizabeth Keith, 43, of Gulf Breeze, for the following charges:

  • Allowing an Unauthorized Person to Drive a Motor Vehicle

  • Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor

  • Violation of Safe Storage of a Firearm

Keith was booked into Santa Rosa County Jail on Saturday, the release said. She has since been released on bond, according to the jail log.

March 18, a 16-year-old GBHS student brought a gun to school, according to Gulf Breeze Police.

The student was accused of threatening several students, but no one was hurt, according to police, who said they found and secured the firearm.

The teen was charged with Possession of a Firearm on School Property and Possession of a Firearm by a Minor.

A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
