Groundbreaking held for 22-unit housing tract in Adelanto
A new 22-unit housing development is underway in Adelanto.
This week, city officials and a developer broke ground on the "Oasis 22" housing project at Raccoon and Kemper avenues. The development is being constructed by LNL Investment Group, according to city officials.
The approval process for the project took only four months, city representatives said in a written statement.
"We are excited to celebrate this significant achievement today, a result of the exceptional teamwork between the city and our development partners," Councilmember Daniel Ramos said. "This project is a prime example of what we can accomplish when the public and private sectors unite to enhance our community."
Once completed, the housing tract will offer several different floor plans of homes, which will start at $439,000, city officials said.
In addition to helping Adelanto meet its growing housing needs, city officials said the project and its swift implementation serves as a "benchmark" for future developments
The new construction is just one project of many to recently sprout up in Adelanto, according to City Manager Jesse Flores.
"Due to the large number of well-paying industrial jobs attracted into the city by this pro-growth, pro-business administration, we have seen the construction of over 700 single-family homes in the city," he said.
