Grande Dames Tea honors 3 impactful Southwest Florida women, raises funds for Pace Center
Three Southwest Florida women inspired a sold-out crowd Thursday with their sometimes serious ‒ and sometimes hilarious ‒words of wisdom and life lessons at the annual Grande Dames Tea.
Each year, the tea honors three local women for their impact on the community and raises funds for the Lee Pace Center for Girls. Pace offers school, counseling, mental health services and other programs for at-risk girls.
The 2024 Grande Dames and a bit about each, from the tea program:
Constance White-Davis, "a beacon of educational leadership, rising from her roots as one of twelve siblings in Fort Myers to becoming a driving force for academic excellence."
Deanna Hansen, "a lifelong devotee to service, whose roots run deep in Fort Myers and Labelle."
Fran Myers, "a model of civic dedication, whose tireless efforts have made a lasting mark on Fort Myers Beach since making it her home in 1975."
