Grand Forks fire crews respond to garage fire at south-end apartment complex
May 6—GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Fire Department personnel responded to an apartment garage fire on Sunday, May 5.
According to a release from the GFFD, firefighters were called shortly after 4 p.m. for a report of a fire at 2403 27th Avenue South, the location of Southwind Apartments. Upon arrival, they found an 11-car garage ablaze.
They worked to contain the fire to half of the garage.
The GFFD responded with five engines, one truck, and one command vehicle with 17 personnel. The department was assisted by the Grand Forks Police Department, Altru Ambulance, and Elevate Living property management personnel.
There were no injuries.
